The book
offers sound, simple nutritional advice. It's easy to follow. The major
change for me was the timing of meals. I make breakfast every morning
now for my husband and myself, I have a snack around 9:30 or 10 eat
again around noon and again around 3:30 and then eat dinner at 5:30 or
6:00. I limit my carbohydrate intake after lunch and I make sure that
all of the Carbohydrates are complex.
I'm revising some old
recipes with things like fat free sour cream and half and half and find
that they are just as good as the full fat version. This is my new
challenge."

"It’s hard to put into words how much Rye has taught me about nutrition
and training. I’ll just say it has been amazing. I think we all assume
we are eating right but in reality, we’re clueless. At least that’s

"Lets start with the fact that I'm 54 years old. I had resigned myself to the fact that I would gain the obligatory 3 to 5 pounds a year for the next ten years and be one of those fat tubs of goo that couldn't walk nine holes on a golf course. With a little prodding from a good friend I bought "Egg Whites and Ham" and it has changed everything. The book makes it simple to understand how the body functions from a nutrition and exercise standpoint. I am eating more now than I ever have (and maybe for the first time, eating right) and have never felt better. Don't misunderstand. This is not a "magic pill". It takes dedication to follow the advise Rye gives us all. But if you follow the program you won't be disappointed. After a month of following the "Egg Whites and Ham" program I have lost 12 pounds and reduced my body fat by 4.2%. I have even gained some muscle back. (which at my age, I didn't think was possible)
